Celebrities including Adam Lambert, Bruno Mars, Dita Von Teese, Elton John, Heidi Klum, Karl Lagerfeld and Vivienne Westwood have lent their support to Operation Bobbi Bear by designing and signing their own Build-A-Bear.

The bears will be auctioned off to raise money for the South African non-profit organisation, which aims to protect children from sexual abuse and HIV infection. The 'Bobbi Bear' is used as a means of communicating with young victims, who are able to write or draw their experiences directly on to a teddy bear. In 2012 Operation Bobbi Bear was awarded the Life Ball Crystal of Hope Award, endowed with €100k.
